Chembra Peak is the tallest peak with a height of 2100m above sea level and is located near Meppady in Wayanad. Chembra Peak is ranked as the best tourist place in Wayanad district.If you wish to experience an adventurous trekking, Chembra peak is considered to be the best spot in Wayanad. To trek up to Chembra peak one has to get permission from the forest department located at Meppady. Hridayathadakam, a heart-shaped lake is one of the best tourist attractions on the way to the top of Chembra Peak. It might take around 3 hours of trekking to reach the top and once you are at the top of Chembra peak you will have the panoramic view of the Wayanad greenery.

How to reach Chembra Peak

If you are traveling by your own vehicle, you can reach the base of the hill where the trekking starts. Otherwise you will have to hire a taxi from Kalpetta or Sulthan Bethery in order to reach the base. Bus service is available from Kalpetta or Sulthan Bethery till Meppadi and from Meppadi you will have to hire a taxi for the rest of the distance.
